Seven Years Married, 5 Years for JMIH!

It's our anniversary! Seven years married today and we have been a couple for eleven years... wow 7/11!
I want to say that this anniversary feels different but honestly I don't think it's the day but the current season that we are in. There is a feeling that has been here for at least a couple of months now, a feeling that we are in a sweet spot... a beautiful flow that is centered around partnership.
Yes, we have been partners since we started dating in 2011, but we are currently in a place where we are living it out with grace. Lots of individual effort makes the joint effort seem effortless. Parenthood has definitely played a role but there has been so much individual growth and growth as a couple too.
As for the elevated since of partnership, I think it spawns from a heightened feeling of safety and security. We have always felt self in terms of protection from physical harm, but now there is more emotional safety.
For those who truly know both of us, you know that we each have some dynamic strengths, some of which happen to be the others weakness. It’s taken time to merge some of our differences but now more than ever we are augmenting each other’s strengths, and we are beyond excited to see where this leads.

We want to inspire you that it gets sweeter with time, deeper with time, but only if that time is accompanied by a continual desire to grow, push and commit to bettering yourself and bettering your relationship.
“How did you know you found the one?” What a common question; I know I’ve asked it plenty of times in my life. I’ve also answered it before, but I think my answer in the past wasn’t authentic. It was instead a thread of rapid fire responses that I’d previously heard and found relatable.
The truth is there wasn’t a finite moment when I knew Rajah was the one. It was the combined moments of consistent efforts to love me to the best of his ability, the desire I had to do the same for him, and his unwavering commitment to growth. It wasn't these things exclusively, but they are what set him apart from anyone else. I'd love to expand on this, and get Rajah's take too, but don't want to rush our thoughts. Stay tuned, we'll definitely revisit this in the future.

As for Jacks Making it Home, super excited because we're in the position to really GROW IT! Yeahhh, we're extremely hype for what's to come! And the cool thing is we've already started. The website for one, this blog for two, AND have you peeped the new logo? Hollll up, hold up, let's give you a better look...
We've mentioned it before but we have so much content and so many ideas that we want to share. The addition of this website and the blessing of more time to commit to JMIH, will hopefully aid us in sharing more with you and providing you with a better experience.
Lastly, we have our first ever product on the horizon that we've made with our very own 4 hands... coming soon!
